Amber provides long-term memory storage and retrieval for AI assistants via the Model Context Protocol (MCP). The service allows AI assistants to store, search, and retrieve text-based memories on your behalf.
To use Amber, you must have a verified PayPal account. You must be at least 18 years old. One account per PayPal identity. Creating multiple accounts to abuse free trials is prohibited.
New users receive a 90-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial period, your PayPal account will be automatically charged $2.99 USD per month. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
Amber costs $2.99 USD per month, billed through PayPal. Your subscription renews automatically each month. You can cancel at any time through PayPal's subscription management. After cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.
When your subscription is active (including during the free trial), you have full access to all Amber features. When your subscription is inactive (cancelled, expired, or payment failed), all access is suspended. You cannot store, search, retrieve, or export memories until you resubscribe.
You agree not to:
You retain full ownership of all content you store in Amber. We do not claim any rights to your memories. You can export all your data at any time using the export tool, and delete your account and all data using the delete account tool.
We aim to provide reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for data loss, service interruptions, or any damages arising from the use of the service.
Amber relies on third-party services (OpenAI, PayPal, Cloudflare, Turso) to operate. Your use of Amber is also subject to these providers' terms of service. We are not responsible for outages or changes in these third-party services.
When you store a memory, the text content is sent to OpenAI's API to generate the search embeddings that power semantic retrieval. It is not sent to any generative large language model. By using the service, you consent to this processing. See our Privacy Policy for details.
You can delete your account and all data at any time using the delete account tool. Deletion is not immediate: it is scheduled to take effect 30 days later, and you can reverse it at any point during those 30 days using the cancel account deletion tool. Access to your memories is suspended right away when you schedule deletion, but account tools (including export) stay available during the 30-day window so you can retrieve your data. After 30 days, your database and all associated data are permanently and irreversibly deleted. Separately, if your subscription has been cancelled or expired for more than 12 months, we may delete your data without notice.
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. In such cases, no refund will be provided for the current billing period.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
